Guest Speaker at next meeting

First off, our meeting is being moved to the UW-Parkside art gallery. You can get directions here - http://g.co/maps/tuhbp

Our speaker is Patricia Briggs. She will give a presentation about composition, color, balance, value and abstraction using the current exhibit as examples. We will start at 7 PM.

After the presentation, we will assemble in a classroom to vote on the Photo Challenge and get the details on the next Challenge.

Creating Great Art with Macro Photography

Mike Moats is an award winning, professional Nature Photographer from Sterling Heights MI. His articles are published in Outdoor Photographer, Natures Best, Nature Photographer, Photolife, PC Photo and many more.

He has won numerous local and international awards and is a featured “Macro Master” on the Tamron website. He offers “Macro Boot Camp” workshops and owns his own Macro Nature Forum at www.macronatureforum.com. Check out his website to see his images at www.tinylandscapes.com.

Learn how to find and create great artwork through macro photography. You will see unique images with character, and Mike will teach tips on how to take your macro photography to the next level.

There is limited seating, please RSVP to secure a seat. You can contact us using any of the ways on the About Us page. Ever think your photos just needed a person in them? Well, March 3rd at 11am Scott Detweiler will be telling us all about working with models. This is a basic presentation and will be an introduction to working with people in front of your camera. Topics like interaction, posing, shooting, where to find them, releases, and maybe even a model’s point of view. We will be at Carolyn’s Coffee Connection, so grab a coffee and cookie and join us. 6th Annual Dinner

We are having our 6th Annual Dinner on Jan 21st at the VFW Post 1865. The Post is located at 6618 -39th Ave. The doors open at 4 for cocktails and dinner is at 6. The cost is $15 per plate guests are welcome.

This is an RSVP only event. If you do not register by January 14th, 2011 we can’t seat you for dinner.

Santa is Coming to PKG!

This December 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th from 1 to 4 you can get your photo taken with Santa.

PKG will be at Forever Grateful (5000 7th Ave) to capture the happy memories of your kids and pets with Santa.

December 10th and 17th are for the kids and the 11th and 18th are for pets.

4×6 Photos will be available while you shop and come in a black or white folder. Larger photos will be available for order.
