Ever think your photos just needed a person in them? Well, March 3rd at 11am Scott Detweiler will be telling us all about working with models. This is a basic presentation and will be an introduction to working with people in front of your camera. Topics like interaction, posing, shooting, where to find them, releases, and maybe even a model’s point of view. We will be at Carolyn’s Coffee Connection, so grab a coffee and cookie and join us. There is limited space please contact us if you are planning on coming.

6th Annual Dinner

We are having our 6th Annual Dinner on Jan 21st at the VFW Post 1865. The Post is located at 6618 -39th Ave. The doors open at 4 for cocktails and dinner is at 6. The cost is $15 per plate guests are welcome.

This is an RSVP only event. If you do not register by January 14th, 2011 we can’t seat you for dinner.

Santa is Coming to PKG!

This December 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th from 1 to 4 you can get your photo taken with Santa.

PKG will be at Forever Grateful (5000 7th Ave) to capture the happy memories of your kids and pets with Santa.

December 10th and 17th are for the kids and the 11th and 18th are for pets.

4×6 Photos will be available while you shop and come in a black or white folder. Larger photos will be available for order.

4th Quarter for PKG

The last quarter of 2011 is upon us and here is the plan -

For October we will be meeting at Windows in Time Photography for a look at a working studio. Forum discussion here
Promotional card photos need to be in on the 15th of October to be included.
November’s meeting date is moved to the third Thursday to leave the holidays open.
December’s meeting is also moved to the third Thursday. There is a discount if you bring cash to join or renew for 2012.
Plans are in the works for our annual end of the year & awards dinner, possibly in January.

The proposed changes for the constitution and bylaws are now available. Comments from members are welcome. The current documents are available under the membership tab above or here

Annual PKG Picnic

The Annual PKG Picnic is August 20. We will be setting up at 8am at Bristol Woods – The Pringle Nature Center.

Food will hopefully be ready at Noon.

SoFoMoBo

SoFoBoMo is short for Solo Photo Book Month – a group event where a bunch of photographers all make solo photo books start to finish in 31 days.

SoFoBoMo 2011 is running from 1st July to 31st August.
